Variety in performance featuring Stage, Mystery Dinner Theater, Musical Entertainment.
"What's upcoming for the 2013-2014 Theater Season?"
Simple answer: "A LOT!" Below is a basic breakdown, but check back with us often for updates! (Our theater season runs June 1-May 31)
The Lewis Lane Singers will be back with our all new musical touring show, "A Little Bit Country, A Little Bit Rock & Roll", a mixture of country, soft rock ballets and 50's music. For more information or to make a booking, please email us at KaraokeKoncerts@aol.com.
In September, we will have our second film class for those that are interest. If you have taken the first class during the 2012-2013 season, you will be able to join us for a refresher. We are currently working on a more advanced class for those that have already begun filming with us. We also will be submitting our first two features "The Flag" and "matches" to local and national film festivals.
And finally, in March/April of 2014, we will wrap up our season with the annual children's musical, a hallmark of the HDG Drama Guild. The 2013-2014 will see Disney's 'junior version of "Annie" brought to life on stage. Stay tuned for our performance dates.
WHAT A BLAST!
Everyone at the Guild is a volunteer, from our actor's to our staff. Time is a precious commodity these days, so you know we are serious about what we do. And what we do is absolutely love having fun while working hard to achieve our dynamic entertainment goals.
We hear it all the time: "Your 'group' is like nothing I've ever seen before." Well, that's because our Guild is always on the move with innovative idea's. We don't believe that entertainment stops at the stage. Some thing's work, some thing's don't, but that doesn't stop us.
So, if you are an actor, a director, a 'techie' or someone who is dying to dabble in the world of entertainment - we would love to have you share in our continual expansion. We are not a closed group and we do not have closed minds. Your idea's and your talent are always appreciated at the HDG Drama Guild even if you have had little or no experience in the theater, however, professional behavior is a must. Because we meet on Harford County Public School property, we are an alcohol and drug free environment to keep things safe for our kids and our community.
We are more than a community theater - we are a part of our community and maintain continuous efforts to reach out and support the community through free shows, fundraisers and helping with community events. Our job - just like our entertainment - doesn't stop on the stage. Experience the difference. Experience the fun. Be part of the best and make a difference in our community.

The HDG Drama Guild is assisted through a grant from the Maryland State Arts Council and the Harford County Government through the Harford County Cultural Arts Board.
We have been providing quality entertainment and volunteering in the local Havre de Grace Community, Harford County
and the state of Maryland since 2006
***Maryland Recreation and Parks Association "Board and Volunteer Branch Community Volunteer Award" recipient***
We are the only drama program sponsored by the Havre de Grace
Recreation Committee
The HDG Drama Guild prides itself on not just being a local community theater but participating as a part of the community. From helping to clean up the Bay to setup and breakdown of special events for Parks and Rec and Office on Aging to community events like Christmas with the Kringles, you can count us to be there to serve the community that supports us.

From our participants and families (taken from our program evaluation forms)
"The Drama Guild is helping [my child] with her confidence and responsibility."
"Our involvement with the HDG Drama Guild has been a very wonderful experience for my children. They have gained confidence in themselves and have been able to apply this growth to school work and other social interactions. The positive group dynamics allow for great social and task cohesion. The program director, Tom Barnes, has vast knowledge and a great rapport with the kids. He also has a well-respected and well-liked supporting team. We highly recommend this program."
"It is nice to find a theater group where everyone is accepted. My children have done other programs but they always felt like outsiders. It has really helped them grow."
"What I like about this program is that no matter what, everyone is able to participate and have fun. We are actually trained and no one makes fun of you."
"I have come to respect the hard work of the kids and the staff. A lot of effort is put into this program by everyone."
"You just can't beat an inexpensive program where the families are respected and made to feel welcome."
"it's not just about drama. We love being able to help in the community and do something we love!!
"I LOVE this program. I'm happy to have so many opportunities to do a lot of different stuff like singing, dancing, and improv. And Mr. Tom is fun, too!"
"I had a blast! I wish I had known about the youth troop before.
I'm coming back next year."
"Mr. Tom makes it fun! I love coming to classes."
"If you have experienced the [Drama Guild] then you've experienced the best drama program around."
"...unbelievable courtesy and kindness to our family. Thank you so much, Mr. Tom and staff for everything!"
"I really like that there is a sense of community and that the actors do more then just act - they participate in something bigger than themselves."
"Mr. Barnes teaches the kids self confidence and reinforces skills that not only work on stage but also in 'real life'... ...Keep up the good work!"
"We had our kids in another program where the staff was rude, the kids were learning nothing and children were excluded. We found what we are looking for in the Drama Troop for our kids: inclusiveness, friendliness & personable staff."

The HDG Drama Guild is a proud part of the Havre de Grace Community.
So much more than a community theater...
Experience the difference!
Experience the fun!
