..... Where performance goes beyond conventional theatre
Pre-registration
Those interested in joining any part of the Drama Guild may begin pre registration immediately. We are limiting class sizes for the upcoming year: 23 for Teen, 12 for Youth and 10 for Tiny Tots as well as 8 children for the Lewis Lane Vaudeville Cabaret. There is no limit to the adults in the Cabaret. Please be cautioned that he Cabaret may perform "PG-13" programs). We are also making some major changes to how we do rehearsals versus training classes. Training classes will not be interrupted by rehearsals for any of our shows unless it is absolutely unavoidable due to scheduling conflicts regarding rooms at the Activity Center (with the exception of Tiny Tots). Involvement in a training class does not guarantee a role in any performance such as the spring musical (with the exception of Tiny Tots, who will be invited to perform in our spring musical). Parts will be given based on auditions. All auditions will be open to the general public. Those that audition and are not a part of the Drama Guild will be required to pay a non-refundable costuming and libretto fee. Not all those that audition will be given parts in any particular performance or venue.

May 8th, 2010, The "Golden Guildie" Awards
You've heard of the Emmy's. You've heard of the Golden Globes. But nothing beats the "Golden Guildies" - where peers vote for what they believe are the best events, songs, dances and actors for the past theater season. The ceremony will include a showing of our musical, "OZ!", pizza (donations excepted!) and snacks. This years winners will be slowly unveiled throughout the event. Introductions and our viewing of "OZ!" begin at 12 sharp. Family members are encouraged to attend. We will need a final head count by May 1st. If you did not receive a form, please email Tom at KaraokeKoncerts@aol.com with the number to be included in your party. Everyone should bring a drink and a snack to share. The awards will be presented at the HDG Activity Center.
May 20th, 2010, Karaoke Kids auditions
Karaoke Kids auditions for the 2010-2011 theater season will be held on Thursday, May 20th from 3pm to 6pm. Eight (8) children (as well as 3 substitute performers), ranging in age from 12 to 18, will be selected to perform in a "Glee Club" like setting throughout Harford County and Maryland. Karaoke Kids perform for various venues and is a main financial contributor to the HDG Drama Guild. For more information, please contact Tom at Karaokekoncerts@aol.com.
